Yena's New Playmate

Mommy: Hi baby, i have something for you, when dad's away for work every saturday you can play with Chubby.

Yena: Duh! Chubby? A girl or a boy? Uhm, she will be a she. She looks like daddy though ;)

Yena: She talks? She doesnt breath! She's so silent!!! Mommm talk to me!!

Yena: How can we play if she doesnt talk?? She doesnt even know how to raise her legs! Mom???

Yena: (Losing patience) What kind of playmate is she?? Cant she see i want to do some boxing?

Yena: Or UFC? Did someone at least taught her how to hug me back instead??

Yena: What a lousy playmate, i'd rather sleep mooommmm..

Yena: (Now dreaming) I dont like to let you go even if you cant play with me, I'll keep you here with me. Hold on tight Chubby. :)

Yena is teething

On leave ako ng monday, reason? i have to babysit Yenang.

Saturday pa lang, bonding mode na ko with her, and sad thing is that saturday alone she had 9 pupu time already. And counting now, she already had a total of 21. =(

Hindi naman siya matamlay. Ang nakakatuwa pa nga may time na ayaw niya ng milk at water alone, mas gusto niya pa ang hydrite. Nakakasad lang kasi ang bilis umimpis ng face niya.. ito ang moment when i pray to God na ibigay na lang saken ang karamdaman niya..

Panicked attack na ko, pero sabi ni hubby malamang nag ngingipin lang si Yena. Bukod kasi sa highest level na paglalaway, kahit anung mahawakan niya ay pilit kinakagat parang makati ang ngalangala na hindi maintindihan..

and we're thinking, anu na kaya itsura niya pag may ngipin na siya?!

When a child is born

Niko, sakit ba manganak??? kaya ko ba un??

Email ng officemate ko pagkatapos niyang makita ang pictures ni Yenang sa desktop ko. Siyempre pa reply ako;

Naku po, number one akong duwag. Gusto ko talaga ng baby pero super natatakot ako sa thought ng panganganak..

Kaya sa tiyan pa lang si yenang kinakausap ko na siya na wag niya ko pahirapan.. before and while laboring natawag ko na ata lahat ng santo at humingi na ng tawad sa Diyos sa mga kasalanan ko. Imagine, naglabor ako ng walong oras. Pero dahil siguro mahal ako ni Lord no pains ako. Wala namang masakit. Hilab pala yung tawag sa paninigas ng tiyan. At kung masakit man ang balakang ko parang normal na sakit lang ng katawan, di kainda inda.

Ang ending CS, paglipat ko mula sa delivery room kung san ako naglabor papuntang operating room kung san ako isiCS, nakatulog na ko. Pagkatapos ng sampung oras sa recovery room nakasama ko na ang mag ama ko. Masakit ang tahi pero iindahin mo pa ba yun? Tingnan mo lang anak mo at solve ka na, i assure you! :)

There she grows..

Can someone stop the rain from falling? Or the sun from shining? Nor does anybody can stop her from growing- - this fast??!! :) It was like yesterday when i gave birth. Now look at what she's becoming.. (tears, tears, tears of joy) :)

And she's looking more and more like her daddy! ;) Oh Barnicles.

Yena @ 5 months

Yena is soo bungisngis. Siyempre pa at nagmana nga raw sa bungisngis na mommy. At kung minsan naman ay topakin, siyempre pa at nagmana sa daddy! Bwahahah :) Pero in fairness, di ko siya kaya patawanin ng tuloy tuloy na humahalakhak, best person to do that is no other than her dad Yobib and her Tita Taba, Tito Ruel and Tito Junjun. Date at the movie house sana for Yena's 5th month. Sabay kasi sa Father's day. Kaya lang nauwe sa mall hopping at picture taking ang lahat. So happy pa rin nonetheless because we have each other.. Yobib, Me and Yena.

Why Yelena Hayden?

So how on earth did we name our first baby with Yelena Hayden?

First on how?! after my november 2007 pelvic ultrasound and upon hearing the words "it's a girl!".. i knew she will be named Helen. Helen from Helen of Troy, coz hubby is such a fan of epic-homer-iliad-myths-gods-godessess movie. He would tease me then that if it would be a boy, his name would be Achilles to which i strongly disagree. But then i knew in my heart i'm having a girl.. (Intuition! Intuition! hahah)

Also I was thinking of naming her Marian (Marian Rivera / Marimar), i remember rushing home earlier after office just to watch Marimar at some point during my conception of Yena. But i wanted to make it sound posh. Maarte ang ina, sorry na lang. :)

So it's Helen, mapagbigyan lang ang ama! But i made variations (dahil maarte nga ako!).. I was thinking of Yelen. What's with Y? I dunno i just like Y! But it's kinda bitin so i made arte again and decided to add some letter and finally settled with Yelena.. :D

On the next name, Hayden. Some people would associate it with Dr. Hayden Kho Jr, current flame of Dr. Vicky Belo, but it's not! He's cute though, hihi! I got the name from the hollywood star of the TV series 'Heroes' Hayden Panettiere. Why? Because i saw her on yahoo and then searched her on google and found some more pictures of her on people and hoorah.. i just fell in love with her face.. she's beautiful and i think her name would blend with my Yelena.

Family First.

Click. One of our favorite movie, comedy na may kurot sa puso. Pinanood namen yan ni Yobib sa sinehan, and i remember that's the first time i saw him cry over a movie. Siyempre kung naiyak siya, anu pa ako? Ako na yata ang pinaka iyakin sa mga iyakin.. :)

Last weekend pinanood ulit namen yun sa DVD. Ang loko nung ipapalabas na ung nakakaiyak na part bigla ba namang lumabas ng bahay? hayun pagbalik niya bumabaha na ako..

Moral of the story, basta in everything, put your family first. You work for them, nurture and cherish them everyday.. and GROW with them.
