The First Christmas of the Mushroom Family

After a very tiring day before christmas, the 9AM Mass, was what hubby and I were looking forward to. So after that mass, our family picture taking was the most awaited part for me! :)

After forty eight years i finally convinced hubby to wear my favorite lavender.. Wohohoh. Wish granted for me. I am wishing that next year, it will be the three of us wearing the matching outfit already.. Im soooo excited!

My little girl, giggles when she is with daddy all the time! They really adore each other. I have to step aside sometime to let them have their moment. Poor me. Poor mommy. :)

Hubby list Tag

I was tagged by my blogger friends Rose aka chubskulit and kikamz with this hubby list that is in my version a 'love is in the air tag'. As always, i was so excited doing tags, most especially if it is love tags or husband tags.. i feel all the thrill of bringing back old memories and i am falling in love again with the same man! :D

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby?
Actually NO. His brother, also a friend of mine, is the leader of our church choir. i seldom saw him attend our 9am mass, was told he was used to attending mass in the afternoon because there were plenty of lovely girls! LOL. Everytime i saw him at friends gatherings, i was always aloof and would never start conversation with him. One time, as i was so thrilled with how good looking his nephew patchik was, he jokingly told me "let's make another one someday?!" To think that that was the first time he ever talked to me, it made me speechless but my mind reacted the fastest saying - the nerve!

When was that?
If my memory serves me right, that was December 2002.

First impression.
Blank. He was never my type! I hated playboys, and i have this notion that he is one hell of a boy that would make girls cry!

Were you friends before he became your bf?
After ignoring each other for years, told you i hated talking to him and he hated me too, i was sooo bratty for him he told me. But cupid foolishly struck as both sometime year 2006. It was the time he finally had the guts to call me at the office, email me nonsense and asked me out for a friendly date! :D

What was the sweetest thing he did for you?
Our relationship was against all odds. I mean, everybody we know were against us! I had him during those low points in my life. When i was so problematic and was so drunk with that big bummer tequila, i threw up and he cleaned up all my mess. He was the sweetest too, the first time he gave me roses, he was so nervous, the roses fell on the road before it reached me! :)

What are the things about him that you are thankful for?
I am thankful that destiny brought us together, no matter how wrong timing it was. I am thankful that he loves me inspite of my foolishness and craziness, and he is always patient with me when im so worst. I am so thankful that he loves our daughter as much as he loves me. I am thankful for the man that he is, warts and all! I am thankful that for all the hardships our love story has brought us we are getting stronger and we are loving each other all the more each day!

missing piece

for the first time ever since the day we became a couple, hubby will be away from me and yena for a night. tonight is hubby's company christmas party at tagaytay and they will spend one night at their big boss' house.

tonight would be the saddest for the month of december, coldest for the year. i am going to spend my night thinking of him, smelling our pillows that would remind me of him, hugging myself tight as if he's embracing me, talking to myself whispering iloveu as if he's tucking me to bed to sleep and putting yena down to sleep all by myself careful not to let her feel dad is not present for a night.

i am torturing myself intially now to make me feel frozen coz for tonight i will be numb. tonight will be a struggle to try myself to sleep the faster i could, but i have to! tomorrow will be a day to finally be with my missing piece! i will never be a puzzle solve without him.

Change of mind

When i was still unmarried, I love planning things - from the littlest details to the enormous one. On the other hand my husband goes with the flow and is not into nitty gritty of preparing things. I dont know if hubby infect me with his being carefree with life.. but i was not planning anything at all too. That including our daughter's baptism and birthday next year.

This was what struck me last week. As i ponder on dates.. January 15 next year is barely more than a month already and to think that we have not yet plan on things makes me cram so much. And so i immediately do the budget, reception, food, party package, photo service and all. That was a lot to think of, and with my ever busy schedule and loads here at office - i thought i was palpitating already!!

Since Yena's birthday, january 15 falls on a thursday we plan to move her little party on the 11th. And since we wanted a dual celebration of her birthday and baptism - January 11 is the best date so far. But after a brainstorming discussion with my inlaws sunday night, we decided to make christmas day as her baptism and january 17 as her birthday celebration. So this is what i forwarded to her godparents yesterday.

Since christmas day was not possible for all the godparents to be there considering they already have plans for that day. Hubby and I decided to change the date to January 18, 2009.

Planning, preparing, budgeting.. Another essential task new parents should master to do!

My Nancy Laptop

After a week of anticipation, i finally got my laptop last saturday! It's a MSI Megabook S1313, hubby suggest i have to get a Dell or Acer but i am sticking to what i said i am getting. I think my NANCY has to be a MSI. I am naming my laptop Nancy because it was a birthday gift from my dearest friend Umma whose real name is Nancy. I hope she wont mind because I will be baptizing Nancy on sunday!

MSI Megabook S1313 passed all the requirements ive been looking for in a laptop, although ive been wishing it was colored lavender or pink. :)

Since i dont know what to look for in purchasing a laptop, i asked some friends and their suggested specs and all were satisfied with my MSI.
