Night of Husband's Birthday

As much as i wanted to post my pole dancing on husband's big night i cant coz there is no such thing, am so sorry Mareng Umma. I told hubby if he wants to see me dancing and he told me not to, he might throw up he told me, grrr to that husband or mine haha. So for a wholesome shot of husband's big night here are the photos.. :)

That was 10pm and Yena should be sleeping. We were teasing the crying baby, she hates picture taking at that time of night when she should be sleeping already! hahah

Look at her sleepy eyes! Hahah.
I think that was not a smile from Yena. She looks so irritated already! Hahah

Oh well that was the simple celebration of Husband's birthday. Family bonding and fun! happiness! :)

Lucky Me, I got You!

Dearest husband,

Hi Baby! I hope i made u smile with my little surprise this morning. I was contemplating on surprising you when the clock ticks at 12am today but my weary eyes cannot hold it anymore, i fell asleep and woke up at 2am. I was thinking if i should greet you by then or wait until you wake up this morning. But i cannot hold myself so with a kiss i whisper to you 'Happy Birthday Baby!" you smiled and dozed off again.

You told me you never experienced blowing a cake on your birthdays so i made an improvised cake just for you. You taught me to be frugal so for your birthday am proud to say that it did not costs that much :) I made your cake with a lavender candle.. and your pancit from Lucky Me!

I just want to tell you baby that for everything that we shared, for all the good times and not so good times you are my ultimate constant source of joy. I would not be happier if i didn't choose to be with you. Being with you is the happiest days of my existence..

Am so moody and i need some anger management class but you always show me you love me even at my worst. If there is one thing i'd ask for your birthday is that; please bear with me more.. I know that you know you have the craziest wife in the whole wide world, just the same i know you love me no less. And i love you more!!

Happy Happy Birthday, Love of my Life!

He is uniquely Him

Last night before going to the grocery, i passed through a jewelry shop and decided to window shop. One elegant watch caught my attention and i knew that i have to get it. Husband's birthday is two weeks away, so with my eyes closed i bought it and planned my little surprise.

Should i put it on top of his clothes in the cabinet? (No originality, He already did that to surprise me on my birthday!) By 30 minutes he will follow me at the mall and would see that little paper bag and would have an idea, that would spoil my surprise. Should i leave it to the store and get it before the 28th? Nah, i carried it out of the mall and waited for him.

In my imagination, he is beaming while holding the little surprise but that did not happened. I gave him the paper bag with a whisper of 'happy birthday, baby' and he was stunned. Told me it looked so expensive, he doesnt need another watch, can he return it and worst asked me how much does it cost?! I was expecting for a teary thank you or at least a hug. Told him, he had to thank me first and no matter how he resist it, i want the best for him!

Am laughing now while recalling, But that is my husband!! He is very very frugal in every way, even for himself. I am learning to be frugal but told him that for him and yena all i want to give is best. Am glad he lets me be! :)

Advance Happy Birthday! I love you more each day, Baby!

Anyone can Cook!

Ok. I wasn't this inspired to cook more until i watched Ratatouille at home last weekend with husband. We are having movie marathon nightly since then. And we are so hooked with lots of them i am going to post some movies i adore and not so adore here.

Ratatouille is about Remy, a rat who dreams of becoming a chef and tries to achieve his goal by forming an alliance with a Parisian restaurant's garbage boy named Linguini.

Oh well there are lots of positive reviews about this film and i may be the nth to say that it is really one of the best animated films! I love how the story goes.. It is really a thumbs up! Having said that, it was nominated for five Oscars including Best Animated Feature Film, which it won!

For a family bonding night, grab a copy of the film and know why it is the third highest grossing Pixar film of all time, just behind Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.

More details here.

Playful little Mushroom

Our wednesday trip to manila after office was cancelled. Holy week was spent at home nursing the sick little mushroom until thursday, she has fever due to teething and mouth blisters. Thanks God she gets well the next day. See how she plays with me last easter sunday at my in laws house.

And now the little mushroom is back at home with her grandma while husband and i are back to work. Oh how i miss her so much. Being with her for six days straight 24/7 makes me wish for another long holiday!

Yummy Pork Adobo

My first time to cook chicken adobo was quiet sour.. so now for another version here is my pork adobo which made husband smiled the whole time during dinner! Am nearing the farthest end of perfecting it, but when hubby is enjoying my cooking already, i think am reaching my goal and am thankful, thanks GOD! :)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds pork belly or spare ribs, chopped to 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 medium onion
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Procedure:
1. In a big sauce pan or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of oil then sauté the minced garlic and onions.
2. Add the pork to the pan. Add water, soy sauce, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or when meat is tender.
3. Add vinegar and black pepper. Best serve with plain rice! :)
