Who's doing the Math?

Today, 26th of August, I planned on waking up husband at 12am, kiss him and greet him: happy 34th month wedding anniversary. Before i speak a thing he suddenly woke up, kissed me and whispered 'happy 22 months!'

22 months? how come i am counting 34 already?! of course i was laughing to myself and started counting again. We got married Oct 26, 2007, how could i possibly think we are already celebrating our 34th month?! am not good in math, alright! :)

Anyways, i know we will get to 34th month and to countless months together but am still happy husband never forgets to do his part of making me feel extra special on two days of each month.

His effort on greeting me on his blog is so much for a gift! :) babaw ko talaga! hahaha

And i am always thankful i said yes to the man who always makes me happy, sad, mad and insane!

Happy 22nd! I love you more baby!

Tuesday Couch Potato: Wall - E

My share on TCP this week on Science Fiction 3D Animation theme is none other than Wall E.

Husband fell asleep while watching this movie. The first part of the movie is not his type he told me. But I continued watching as I have heard a lot of applause on this flick. And so am glad I didn’t slept, I love how the story is written. I have to give credit to whoever wrote Wall e. It is a nice movie and I would like my daughter to watch this one when she is older.

In a distant, but not so unrealistic future, where mankind has abandoned earth because it has become covered with trash from products sold by the powerful multi-national Buy N Large corporation, WALL-E, a garbage collecting robot has been left to clean up the mess. Mesmerized with trinkets of earth's history and show tunes, WALL-E is alone on Earth except for a sprightly pet cockroach. One day, Eve, a sleek (and dangerous) reconnaissance robot, is sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable. WALL-E falls in love with Eve. WALL-E rescues Eve from a dust storm and shows her a living plant he found amongst the rubble. Consistent with her "directive" Eve takes the plant and automatically enters a deactivated state except for a blinking green beacon. WALL-E, doesn't understand what has happened to his new friend, but true to his love, he protects her from wind, rain, and lightening, even as she is unresponsive. One day a massive ship comes to reclaim Eve, but WALL-E, out of love or loneliness hitches a ride on the outside of the ship to rescue Eve. The ship arrives back at a large space cruise ship, which is carrying all of the humans who evacuated earth 700 years earlier. The people of earth ride around this space resort on hovering chairs which give them a constant feed of TV and video chatting. They drink all of their meals through a straw out of laziness and/or bone loss, and are all so fat that they can barely move. When the auto-pilot computer, acting on hastily given instructions sent many centuries before, tries to prevent the people of earth from returning, by stealing the plant, WALL-E, Eve, the portly captain, and a band of broken robots stage a mutiny.

Sealed with a Kiss!

Husband and I love to talk. We have our own quiet time but we always find each other chit chatting about everything under the sun. What makes me more excited about our every conversation is what comes after it. The kiss. We sealed our talk with a smack. After all piece is said before going to bed at night, we sealed it with a kiss.

Just this morning, when i was acting up that i cannot walk anymore because of hunger i told husband to bring me to jollibee. I have been craving for their breakfast steak :) If you know how thrifty my husband is, eating out on an ordinary day is a Big NO NO! But for every requests i know he would always give in, he loves me that much! :)

Talking about politics and showbiz are my forte, while him sports. What pulled me to ending our endless tete-a-tete this morning is the kiss! I get back to work with a full stomach and a wide smile on my face. It was a lovely breakfast, sealed with a kiss!

Tuesday Couch Potatoes: True Lies

Here's my second entry to Kikamz' Tuesday Couch Potatoes with a theme of Favorite Husband and Wife Movie.

I am thinking between Mr and Mrs Smith and True Lies. But i know my husband would agree that we had the most laugh with the latter so True Lies won! :)
For the film's summary:
Harry Tasker leads a double life. At work he is a government agent with a license to do just about anything, while at home he pretends to be a dull computer salesman. He is on the trail of stolen nuclear weapons that are in the hands of fanatic terrorists when something more important comes up. Harry finds his wife is seeing another man because she needs some adventure in her life. Harry decides to give it to her, juggling pursuit of terrorists on one hand and an adventure for his wife on the other while showing he can Tango all at once. Written by John Vogel {jlvogel@comcast.net}

I love how Arnold Swarzenegger played his part. And Jamie Lee Curtis' acting as his wife is a thumbs up! ;) Watch this movie and had a good laugh!

Our HUT was on Fire Mid Week

Out Hut, I have to say was on fire since my heart that night was burning with so much anger to a relative who mistreat my parents, my family and my family's name.

I don't usually blog when angry. I don't like to share negative vibes. I always try to write sensibly but when i can't hold myself longer i would blew up.

We live in a neighborhood where there are loads of distant relatives. I have heard about my uncle whom 'everybody' in the family described as arrogant, conceited and egocentric. He was my mother's cousin. I would smile at him for times i would meet him but he won't smile back. That is his character so i thought. But i respect him. Respect is such a big word for me.

Last night, all the respect i have for him lost the instant he verbally attacked my parents and family. I understand he was drunk but bombarding on my parents because you are under the influence of alcohol is a lame excuse! I heard foul words he said against me but i don't mind, i wont care. I got furious when my family and my parents were lay on the line and i can't do anything because confronting an intoxicated man would make me look like a fool. He would never understand how much i feel but i am deeply hurt.

I know this is another fire in our hut and that God is working on things i don't understand. I pray i will soon understand and that i would be able to forgive. Forgiving someone who hurt my family isn't easy for me.

How do you protect them?

We always want the best for our home and our loved ones. Protecting them is our main responsibility. I say this again and again that we should not depend on anybody else for our own safety. We have to be prepared all the time for all possibilities. This is the reason why Home Security Systems are a must at every home! Protect your home with ADT Home Security Systems now!

When your Hut is on Fire

This is from a forwarded email from a dear friend. Thought i have to share this here for everyone to read :) This is really worth reading.
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store
his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, and everything was lost.. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. He cried out, 'God! How could you do this to me?' Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to rescue him! 'How did you know I was here?' asked the weary man of his rescuers. 'We saw your smoke signal,' they replied.
The Moral of This Story:
It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of our pain and suffering. Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.

Tuesday Couch Potatoes: A Knights Tale

I am glad Kikamz started this fun weekly meme about movies and TV show. I am addicted to TV shows like 24, Alias and Friends before. I used to spend my weekends watching movies with my siblings when i was still single, we usually watch romantic, comedy and action films ( our favorite is Jachie Chan!). My husband and I love to spend friday nights and weekends watching movies at DVD. We used to go out and watch movies before but since we cannot bring yena yet to movie houses, we comfort ourselves with the DVDs! :)

Now am sharing one film i would love to watch over and over again! This is my first entry for Tuesday Couch Potato!

Funny. I really fell deeply in love with Heath Ledger after watching this movie - A Knight's Tale. I bet my husband too. I wonder why i didn't got the chance to watch it before, oh i guess i have my apprehensions. But since husband prefers to watch knights and armors and wars and greek myths i had no choice but to cuddle with him while watching..

I know Heath is dead. But he is really a good actor on that movie! He played William Thahcher's character and he was really very good! Love him. May he rest in peace. If you haven't watch this awesome flick grab or borrow a copy now!

Here's for the film's summary:
William Thatcher, a peasant, is sent to apprentice with a Knight named Hector as a young boy. Urged by his father to "change his Stars" he assumes Sir Hector's place in a tournament when Hector dies in the middle of it. He wins. With the other apprentices, he trains and assumes the title of Sir Ulrich von Lichtenstein. By law, only Knights may compete. Being of humble birth, William aquires fake documents to support his new identity. At his first tournament, he meets the lovely Jocelyn who is a Lady and has no idea that William isn't noble. He also creates an enemy in Count Ademar, until then the best Knight in the games, and a rival for Jocelyn's affections. William goes on to win many tournaments and Jocelyn's love. Ademar discovers William's humble beginnings and turns him in. William is promtly arrested. The Black Prince Edward, who William had paid a past kindness to, makes William an official Knight of the Realm, thereby making it legal for him to compete. He beats Ademar, and he and Jocelyn celebrate.
If you're one of us who loves movies/ TV shows /Series, Join us every tuesday on Couch Potatoes! :) This is the start of a fun tuesday! :)

How to Keep Your Marriage Alive

From a forwarded email. Hope this one helps you!:)

~ Step 1

Turn your marriage into a teenage love fest
Do some of the same things you did when you first fell in love
Don't get too busy for each other
Communicate, communicate, communicate
Show lots of affection publicly (hold hands, kiss, stare in each other's eyes)

~ Step 2

Set weeknight dates and keep your promise to go on those dates
Go to a drive-in theatre and make out like teenagers
Write love letters and leave in different secret places
Call each other every day and confess your love for each other
Meet once a week for lunch

~ Step 3

Be spontaneous. Leave work on your lunch time and meet at your house or a hotel and make love
Go on a weekend vacation. Just get in your car and drive, then check into a hotel and spend the whole weekend in bed with each other

~ Step 4

Send the kids over to grandparents
Have a glass of wine with strawberries
Compliment each other
Talk about old times when you first met. Believe me that is the most romantic spark that will ignite sexual desire and love
