Will you still love me tomorrow?

Rodliz’s Nest

I have to ask husband on his answer to that – or maybe he should leave his comment here if he isn’t that busy. Anyways, if you would ask me that my answer would be:
I will have to think about it.
Haha, seriously I will love my husband ‘til eternity. I am excited by the thought of growing old with him – loving him until we have gray hairs, toothless and wrinkled. I hope I can still read his mushy posts on his blog.. I wonder if we still have enough energy to even type on a keyboard. LOL

The first year

Rodliz’s Nest
Yobib and I were already living together in an apartment in manila before our wedding but still there were a lot of adjustments, bumps and rough paths we had gone through for the first year of our married life. Yobib’s dad and my mother were confined to a hospital a month after our wedding. I was 7 months pregnant with yena at that time. There were lots of problems on the first 30 days, in terms of finances. But we made it through.

We had the worst fight on our first Christmas as husband and wife. I was 8 months pregnant when I ran away from their home and spent Christmas alone and crying. It wasn’t nice remembering that but now I smiled recalling how much of a fool I was. I don’t talk when angry while he talks a lot when mad. After few months of adjustments, we learned to communicate a lot. When Yena was born on January everything just fell into right places. We fight a little, laugh and cried with our foolishness and strive hard to be a blessing to each other.

8 months after the wedding, we have a 6 months old Yena :)

And just one thing, from the day we became a couple, husband gave the golden rule and that is to attend the mass and hear the word of God every sunday. He doesn't look religious i know, but he is really prayerful! It would be a hard life without God at the center of our lives, and I know and we try hard to make God the center of our union and our family..

I love you this much, I do!

Rodliz’s Nest
October 26, 2007, The day I said I do the man that I love was the day I hurt my mother the most..
Me, Yobib and his family

My decision to marry yobib was against my families wish. But marrying him was my ultimate wish and it’s the best decision I had ever made in my entire life. I know I hurt my mother but I know sooner than soon my family will accept my decision no matter how much they refuse it.

Sunny friday on that month of October (full moon to be exact!), I went to the municipal hall without my parents or any of my family member by my side. Yobib was with his parents and eldest brother. We have one set of godparents to witness our union. I remember yobib’s eldest sister, yobib’s aunt and their neighbors’ are crying, they pity me so much. I would be marrying him without my family’s support. It always brings tears to my eyes remembering how I felt forsaken by my family on my wedding day but I can’t blame them.
Our godparents

So at 10am we were wed solemnly at Victoria’s Court. The judge that wed us was Atty Victoria by the way, that’s what her court was called by her employees. After that less than 30 minutes ritual we went to Balinsasayaw for our wedding reception.. The next day was the drink all you can session with some of our friends and yobib’s family and relatives..

I went home only to cry, my mother disown me for marrying Yobib. But after all has been said and done, my mother warmed up as the days pass by and now the atmosphere between her and Yobib has changed a lot for the better..

What Marriage Proposal?

Rodliz’s Nest

I was a bit scared to write my entry at today’s CC. First, I have a very bad memory on what happened way back 2006 and second, I am afraid to get another ‘objective’ comment on my ‘dry writing’. LOL

But nonetheless, this is for my kumareng liz, so what the heck! :D I cannot afford to miss an entry at CC! So please forgive me if I am not as ‘gifted writer’ as my husband is. I will continue to write for as long as I like!

I already asked husband to join in today's meme. I really need to hear his side. Anyways, as for my account, there was no surprise marriage proposal, no flowers, no romantic dinner though I wish there was something of that sortl just like any couple do, hahah. But hey I love how my love story is written, it isn’t planned and it is what kept us together so I have no regrets. I just hope my bad memory serves me right. IF you still want to know our story before we said I do, read on..

Contrary to what other people know, I run away from home ALONE. Yobib followed me to Manila and decided to live with me after a couple of months. I run away from home November 2006. December 2006 we bought our wedding ring together at Binondo. You can buy cheapest jewelries there, i just can't guarantee if their fake or not. Oppps. Free advertising. ;)

We drop by at Binondo Church, he said he was going to marry me (not that telenovela style) it was a sincere talk between us in front of the altar. We were holding each other’s hands and we wore our ring for the first time while praying to God to bless us.
The ring at Binondo Church @ December 2006

So after that talk at the Binondo Church we head home with our ring on. We told everybody that we were wed secretly at a nearby municipal hall. I knew they didn’t believe us but then that was what we want to believe, that we are married already. ;)

And yes, we were married ten months after, the mushy and teary details i will share on my next CC entry! :)

We’re in love!

Rodliz’s Nest

The atmosphere after our ‘friendly’ date at chowking had change between us. No more endless teasing from Yobib, all has changed for the better. He cares for me like a very ardent suitor.

I always look forward to weekends, for our table tennis bonding time. I am always excited to see my emails, half of them came from him. I love chatting with him all day long.. Everything looks so brand new. We would go out on weekends for a movie date.. Stroll at baywalk.. Roam Tagaytay.. Talk endlessly every time all the time..

The conflict began when my parents knew about our relationship. As I was engaged to be married to my then BF, they look at Yobib as a villain. Like a child, they don’t want me to go out, scared that I might go with Yobib and see him somewhere else. Suffocated, I runaway. They just didn’t understand that my love for Yobib has gone a very long way than my love for the man I am supposed to get married to. With Yobib, I feel loved, adored and cared for all the time.

The MUSHROOM by the way, started from the moment we were in love. We were like mushrooms sprouting in the shade, afraid to show our love in public.. But then love really conquers all! Now our love is like mushrooms sprouting everywhere.. LOL

How about you? Care to share your love story? Join us at Couples Corner hosted by my Mareng Liz. See you!

PS:
Today, 28th of October, marks our 39th month as lovers! Happy Monthsary to the man who always makes me happy, sad, mad and insane! For better and for worst baby! The best is still yet to come! I LOVE YOU!

The first time we met and the first time we dined out

Rodliz’s Nest

Whew. That was a long title for a post. Anyways, it’s my entry for my kumareng liz couples corner’s second week and just like my first entry, I will be very honest on this one too! Sorry baby. LOL

I am a member of a choir in our area, yobib’s brother is our instrumentalist. At one point, I have seen yobib attend our 9am mass but he was very aloof. We were not formally introduced actually so I just knew him as the brother of our leader of the band. By the way our choir started year 2002, So I have known him since then.

We never really talked to each other even later when he decided to join the choir sometime in 2005. He has a girlfriend and I am engaged to my then boyfriend. He said he doesn’t like me because am sooo maarteh for him and I hate him to the bones too because he is a typical playboy! So that was the story on how we first met.

In the middle of year 2006, something very terrible happened. He started emailing me and calling me in the office. On weekends we would play table tennis, much to my dismay, LOL. One fine afternoon he asked me out through an email and told me it will be just a friendly ‘date’… ‘no strings attached’. He has a girlfriend then and I am still engaged with my then boyfriend, so that should really be a friendly date. It was my first time to dine out with another guy. I was nervous to meet him, he was really sarcastic, he would tease me then and there. So that night we ate at Chowking, I ordered halo halo for dinner and I forgot what he ate. Terrifying! LOL.

And we ended the night with a smile as he sent me home.. No kiss, nothing, zero everything! I cannot believe it! ;) LOL

PS:
A week later he broke up with his girlfriend. And after awful months of asking for a sign and divine intervention, I broke up with my fiancé and run away with the love of my life, Yobib!

(Insert music RUN AWAY by The Corrs, i would run away.. i would run away with you! Cause I have fallen in love With you, no never have I'm never gonna stop falling in love, with you )

the mushroom love story

once there was a girl who was engaged to be married to her soldier boyfriend. though on distant relationship and they see each other once every year, the engaged girl was very loyal to him. on the other hand, there was a boy who was also into long distance relationship. though he loved his girlfriend, he played around non stop thinking his girlfriend would not know - he was a certified playboy.

and then one day, when the girl was on deep thought of her long distance relationship, the boy came along. he was calling her at the office at first.. and then decided to asked her out for a dinner the next. they didn't know then that they were falling for each other, they thought all along they were building a friendship after all they both have their own relationships. the girl thought the boy must be a good shock absorber of her not so happy love life. the boy on the other hand, wanted to test his charm..

the boy decided to break up with his girlfriend.. he finally told the girl his feelings for her. since the girl was holding on to her soldier boyfriend, she was left confused. the boy begged for a secret relationship, the girl agreed. she had the two of them for months, she was a cheater once in her life.

after a painstaking decision, the girl though confused let her heart do the decision making - she chose the man who made her heart beat a thousand times for just the thought of seeing him, she opt to be with the man who was always there for her and made her happy everytime they were together, she prefer to be with the man she will love most for the rest of her life. against her family and friends desire - against all odds! SHE CHOSE HIM AND HE VOWED TO HER!

it is by this end, that i have to say. niko is the girl and you know yobib is the boy. and why are we called mushroom? on those months when we have to hide our relationship, we both thought of mushrooms that seem to be hiding everywhere.. but while mushrooms are sprouting at its peak during rainy season, this lovers represent a love that endures all weather.

jealous lover

jealous, i know i am but my husband is the most jealous creature ive ever met, that's exaggeration! hehehe. he is a jealous lover, but more on being protective. over jealous for me is insecurity, and insecure we are not! we are both secure in each other's love. wink. true! :D

once upon a time, during our first months, i knocked him down! literally and physically i gave him a manny pacquiao signatured upper cut, and that left him toothless! when asked by his officemates what happened, he told them i got fuming mad with jealousy that i punch him until satisfied. i know i'm cruel! but that left us confined to his dentist for a day or so..

nah, before you think any farther, the real story was - we were having our wrestling-ufc-styled bonding time and i was really beaten by him.. i felt so defeated that when i got the chance i got up and punch him direct to his mouth! i felt victorious for a second but when i found him holding his tooth - it was my downfall!

now we look back at that unforgettable moment with lots of laughter, that would keep the two of us rolling! and until this day, his dentist would always remind him not to play around or he will have his tooth fixed again!

Talking with kids

I was talking with hubby's two nephews one afternoon. Ronron turning 8 years old next month and Patchik 6 years old. (Note that our conversation were translated to english)

Ron: Tita Niko, how many children would like to have with Tito Boy?
Me: Three would be good. Id like to have another girl and a boy in the future.
Ron: I think you should have two children only.
Me: Huh why?
Ron: It will be easy to divide the two if you and Tito Boy will SPLIT! You will have one child each!
Me: You think we're going to split?
And before Ronron could answer Patchik butt in and said this words i cannot imagine he would..
Patchik: They will never ever break up, because they call each other BABY!!

FYI: Some two years ago, this two boys were told by Jean, hubby's cousin, that when you're in a relationship and you call each other any endearing names other than baby, there's a possibility of break up. Kids are really smarter now!

the story was

-july 2006

dont know how to start this blog.. but i just did it anyways. i have lots of unspoken words.. there are lots of things i wanna say, i wanna share to someone.. but dont have the guts to say it. hope this one will help me ease some if not all of them.

i have a steady relationship for more than four years now and were planning to settle down next year. i have a very strong faith on him.. it was a matter of loving the person inspite and despite of. i love him near or apart with all my heart.. i know deep he's the one for me.

ealry this year, i have lots of so-called temptations flaring around, you know those guys who ignore you when youre still single and now all of a sudden making you the apple or their eyes.. it was like saying. where were all of you when im still searching?

now im left confused.. i love my man more than anybody else.. but his distance made me think twice. is he really the one for me?
